Co-Director
Hi there, my name is Shout (she/her/hers), and I am one of the directors for Camp Kesem Duke. I joined Kesem my freshman year, and it is by far my favorite part of my Duke experience. My favorite Kesem memory from each year is the talent show-I love seeing everyone in the Kesem community supporting each other and showing each other so much love! I can’t wait to see what this year will bring. CK love <3

Hey! My name is Blank (she/her/hers) and I am one of the directors of Camp Kesem Duke. Kesem has been a part of my Duke experience since I arrived in Durham, and I’m so fortunate to be a part of such a special community. My favorite camp memory is during Color Wars, when all of the campers cover themselves and their counselors in paint, streamers, and glitter - it’s as messy as it is fun! I’m so excited for this year and can’t wait to bring even more Kesem magic to our volunteers and families <3

This is Yoga (he/him/his)! I am an Operations Coordinator. I am a Senior and I have been in Kesem since my freshman year. My favorite Kesem memory is playing indoor bowling with water bottles on a rainy Kesem day.

Hi! I'm Grape, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I'm an Operations Coordinator! I joined Kesem last year. One of my favorite memories was playing Speed HAP at Kesem at Home because it let me get to know things that were important to each camper and counselor!

I’m Pom, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m on Dev this year! I’m a sophomore, and this is my second year with Kesem. My favorite Kesem memory is either overnight training or the Would You Rathers the 6-9 campers would come up with during Cabin Chats!! I’m so excited to see what this year brings for Kesem!!

This will be my third year in Kesem, and I go by she/her.hers. I started my freshman year at Duke! My favorite Kesem memory would have to having cabin chats and bonding with my campers, Princess and Smiley, at camp! It was so fun to get to know them and share the Kesem magic with them <3

Hi I'm Scream and I use she/her/hers pronouns! I am a junior at Duke and have been a part of Kesem since my freshman year. Some of my favorite memories from camp include dance parties with my campers and night swim! I cannot wait for the year ahead and to keep making such special memories with the best people!

Hi there! My name is Narwhal (she/her/hers), and I am one of the Volunteer Coordinators for Camp Kesem Duke. I have been in Kesem since my freshman year, so this is my 4th year!!! My favorite Kesem memory is singing Humpty Dumpty at a post-Empowerment 10-11 campfire for what felt like HOURS!

My favorite thing about Camp Kesem is how it bring out the best in everyone. And, of course, my favorite part about camp is the dance parties!

Hello! I’m Spike (he/his) and I’m so excited to be an MTM coord this year. I’m a Junior, and I joined Kesem during my Sophomore year. My favorite Kesem memory is debating with the 12-13’s about which animals, if mixed, would create the coolest hybrid. Even virtually, this conversation sparked laughs, smiles, and an audacious amount of creativity. I can’t wait to Make the Magic this year.
